THE 22 YEAR HISTORY BETWEEN GREGG GOLDSTON AND MARCEL MARCEAU. Gregg's first inspiration to pursue mime came when he saw a Marcel Marceau performance in 1975. Surprisingly, it took 10 years before Gregg Goldston actually met Marcel Marceau face to face. They first met backstage after a Marceau performance at U.C. BERKLEY in 1985. This meeting sparked a long career of projects and performances, which developed into a deep friendship that continued until Mr. Marceau past away on September 22, 2007. Five Seminars with Marceau Marceau here hosted by The Goldston & Johnson School for Mimes. These 2-Week seminars which took place at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio during the summers of 1986, 1992, 1993, 1994, & 1995. During this time, Mr. Marceau became the Artistic Advisor to the Goldston Mime Foundation. In 2000/2001 Goldston toured with the Marceau Solo show as an assistant performer along side of Gyongyi Biro.
In October of 2004, Gregg Goldston performed with La Nouvelle Compagnie de Mimodrame Marcel Marceau.
The Compagnie was performing at the American Repertoire Theater in Cambridge, MA. for a five-week run. Goldston stood in for Alexander Neander while he was in Germany for performances with his Duet show.
